Born in Austria and raised in Germany, Beatrix Rohlsen now lives in the mountains above Santa Barbara, CA.As an abstract painter, her recent work is known for its visionary and mystical style through the use of oils and acrylics. At an early age, Beatrix was mesmerized by nature's colors which influenced her way of painting.Some of her work reflects nature's changing and diverse panoramas through color, light and design."Beatrix Rohlsen's, abstract paintings suggest the traditions of both American Abstract Expressionism and German expressionist painting, bringing to mind the work of Hans Hoffmann and Gerhard Richter.
